The Viana Heart, or Heart of Viana do Castelo, is a distinctively shaped heart and a religious symbol. It arose in Portugal with the cult of the Sacred Heart of Jesus at the end of the XVIII century and represents that very symbol - the crown-like shape seen atop it's unique design is a stylized representation of the flames. The origins of the twist in the tale, however, remain a mystery...
It soon became an icon and an emotional heritage of the country and of the traditional Portuguese art of filigree jewelry.
This sacred symbol is connected with the ideals of honesty and generosity, and, of course, universal love.
I find it romantic, poetic, and stunningly elegant, and for those very reasons, it became the symbol that represents my brand.
